So, life has been continuing, the daily routine is settling down. Finally my bureaucratic epic is over. I am registered, legal and can stay here. This is good news.
Less good news is that we need to find a new flat as the one we were in has been sold from under us. The original idea was how can we do this avoiding estate agents? But now this seems impossible so we have resorted to them. Agents here are like rats. There are millions of them and they are seemingly from the underworld... We call them about nice flats we have seen that they are advertised only to find out that they don't really exist or that the photo's they have put up are completely fictitious. It's one huge scam here trying to rent through agents. So, we are back to tapping up our own resources (everything come backs to your own social capital and fortunately for me, the themes of capital and resources are the ones I am having to develop in written form.
It is also now winter. The last few days have got colder and this morning we have a decent amount of snow falling. To me, there is a blizzard right now outside our window. To everyone else - this is light snow. Will try to get some pictures up later. The task for the day is to equip the team with snow suits ready for the deep winter that will start to bite later this week (expecting -22 by Thursday).
